Maureen Turner, horticulturist with the City of Tulsa, will talk about putting structure in the garden.

Mark Stelljes will present "The Dirt on Soil". Mark is a rosarian and owner of Roses Inc. Tulsa.

April 15

Brian Chojnacki of Sooner Plant Farm, an Oklahoma internet nursery, will bring some new and exciting plants and trees for us to see. He will talk to us about their special ways with trees - Imagine Backyard Trees. He can answer questions about planting and growing perennials, annuals, trees and shrubs.

May 20

Riddle Plant Farm will present a program on Water Features. In addition to the nursery that we are familiar with, they have a landscaping business.

David Hillock of Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma Gardening, spoke on "Shrubs for Oklahoma"

Dr. Douglas Tallamy, author of Bringing Nature Home, is in Tulsa and Oklahoma City this week thanks to Oklahoma Native Plant Society and the Tulsa Audubon Society. We will welcome him to Tulsa Garden Center at our regular meeting time. Books will be available for purchase and autograph.

Dr. Mike Schnelle of OSU will present "Tender and Hardy Herbaceous Plants for Oklahoma".

October 21

Dr. Lane Greer, co-author of the book Woody Cut Stems for Growers and Florists: Production and Post-Harvest Handling of Branches for Flowers, Fruit, and Foliage, will present on Woody Stems for the Home Gardener. Dr. Greer currently is teaching at OSU in the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture department.
